A young woman went online to narrate her story on how she suffered from Arthritis for months and was saved by a special combination she came across while scrolling on Facebook.
According to 41 years old Dorcas Oyedele, Arthritis has been an ailment that took her happiness and comfort away for months.
She is a mother of two and lives in Ilorin in Kwara state.
She teaches at a private secondary school close to her home and was living happily with her family until everything went sour sometime last year.
On the 17th of March 2021, she was diagnosed with Arthritis, at the University of Ilorin Teaching hospital Ilorin.
At first, she didn't take it seriously, until it confined her to a wheelchair on the 20th of November 2021.
Before then, she battled with lower back pain for months.
She was trying to just mask it all up by using balms and creams.
But later on, it got worse which led her to go to the hospital,
Where they told her that her Arthritis was already very critical and they advised her to start using medication.
This medication didn't work, she had to go back to the hospital when things became worse.
And they told her that she has to start using a wheelchair temporarily to ease herself off the extreme joint pain in her lower back and knee.
She and her husband wasted close to a million naira, trying to get effective medications that will help her fight Arthritis.
They tried so many things, ranging from herbal remedies to physical exercise, but all didn't work.
Her health was getting worse by the day.
The most painful thing for her was the fact that she could not move about without using her wheelchair.
The stress her husband was going through to wheel her around, especially to the hospital was making her sad.
At a point, she felt like dying because the pain was too much
Her children were already getting tired of crying beside her bed every now and then.
